Known as “The Kiln”, what can we say, this small town is a little country! Offering acres of untouched land, homes where the neighbors “aren’t too close” and many beautiful waterfront properties, the Kiln is a great place for those who like the laid back simple things in life. There isn’t much to this little town but it is okay to ride your four-wheeler to the gas station, own a couple of horses, or slow ride down a dirt road. You’ll find something to do! Also the Kiln is only minutes away from Interstate 10 which can quickly take you to New Orleans Louisianan or Gulfport Mississippi. Even with its very country feel, the Kiln is home to many fun loving waterfront home owners and second home buyers. Jordan River Shores is a popular local waterfront neighborhood off the beautiful brackish waters of the Jordan River. Many who purchase here also look at waterfront homes in Bay St Louis. The Kiln is very close to the beach community of Bay St Louis but offers a unique experience of owning riverfront property vs canal, bayou, or bay front property.

Jeepin’ the Coast Annual Event
“Jeepin’ the Coast Topless” is an annual event to benefit breast cancer awareness. The ride starts at the Bay St. Louis bridge and goes all the way to the Ocean Springs bridge on the other end of the coast. Many Jeeps will then hang a U-turn to circle back to Bay St. Louis for the after party. Funds are raised by buying shirts or simply giving what you can.
