(Hopefully) returning to their roots, ESPN will be broadcasting the USA Eagles rugby match against Canada.

Game time is 4:00p EST/1:00p PST. If the US can beat Canada on Saturday, and again on July 11th in the land up north, they will automatically qualify for World Cup in New Zealand.

Ha! I am going to have fun with this one. By the way lovely site, really top stuff. But Rugby? USA? World Cup? hihihhiihiihiihihii…. Don’t make me giggle it hurts………
Sorry I am just teasing you. I am Irish I can’t help it and we are Grand Slam champs….and club champs of Europe too.
Looking forward to seeing the USA in NZ…
Oh yeah, I caught you on Trifuel. Really impressed with your site.

Thanks for stopping by - glad you like the site.

Yuck it up, but the US qualified for the last go-round. Sure, we don’t have the grandeur of Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, etc., but our country is a player development machine.

We’re sending guys with day jobs who get a $100 per diem to play against the best from other countries. As rugby’s popularity in the US continues to grow, the depth and quality of our players will too!

All in good fun… I’ve got two games of hope to hold on to here. We’re playing Canada, who is probably a roughly comparable team, meaning it could be a good match.

But let’s face it… home advantage for NZ… we’ll see if SA can defend the Webb Ellis Cup in All Blacks country.
